My day to day life has been hectic. Each day leaving me as though I am exhausted and I find myself crawling into bed by 11 pm, which is really early for a night owl like myself. I think the thing wearing me out the most lately is my overflowing creative mind. It feels like a constant stream of creative ideas are flowing through my mind. Normally for someone who's hobby and business rely on creativity this would be a blessing. My lack of time to fulfill all the thoughts that come to mind is frustrating. That said, I do love everything else that I do and that I deal with in daily journeys. It's times like this that I wish I could print the thoughts that happen in my brain in their completed states, and save them for those moments where I could work on them. If you find yourself in need of finding some calm in your life. There are a few things I suggest. The first is finding something that grounds you. For some that could be yoga, or meditation. For others like me, I find working on something that I can give my undivided attention works. My favorite go to is puzzles. I love looking for the edge pieces, then the easy to find sections, and then eventually all the mish mush that surrounds that. I also like to surround myself with the crystals that bring me calm. Some of the great stones or crystals that are great for that are as follows: Amethyst: This is a very calming stone that repels negativity as well. It helps bring peace to a hectic body, and helps soothe an active mind. Hematite: A very good grounding stone that is often overlooked. It isn't the prettiest always, but it is a very powerful stone. I find for myself a strong sense of centering and grounding when I hold this stone in both palms. Others will place these stones under their feet, or in front of them while meditating. The key is to find the way that works best for you. I think that I will try making myself a grounding anklet tonight. A good hematite anklet with pieces of amethyst included. I will have to post a picture for you all to see in my next blog post.
Until then, do whatever you need to find that grounding calming moment to de-clutter your brain. Maybe let me know what that is in the comments below.
